Holiday Season Trip to Sacramento CA

December 9, 2015

For Thanksgiving Weekend my husband and I decided to visit his family in Sacramento, CA. I’ve been planning this trip for months, I knew I wanted to try lots of places that Yelp recommends so I could get a good idea of the culture and vibes of northern California. One thing led to another and we got so busy seeing family and friends that we didn’t really get a chance to go out and explore…

Which was fine, because Thanksgiving is about spending time with Family and Friends. We got to see lots of people that we’ve missed and haven’t seen for months, even years! Sunday after visiting Bayside Church and listening to a really good sermon from Andrew McCourt we decided to hit up a brunch spot that has a lot of reviews on Yelp and looked like it had a nice interior inside (which I always appreciate)! Plus we were all getting really hungry. I can eat breakfast for lunch and dinner so I’m a huge breakfast person and of course I order eggs and probably eggs Benedict, so if you see a photo of some below you’ll know who ordered those 😉 The food was good, the place was pretty with lots of decorations and plenty of window light, I really liked their strawberry lemonade, but they also have a full bar and if you need to go to the restroom, you can see through a glass mirror/window into the men’s bathroom (just at the sink where you wash your hands). After you finish your meal you can cross the road and you’re in a beautiful park by the Sacramento Capitol where you can walk for a stroll and burn off those calories! 🙂 The restaurant is called Cafeteria 15L and they’re Open Monday-Thursday 11:30am-9:30pm, Friday 11:30am-11pm, Saturday 9am-11pm, and Sunday 9am-8pm.
